Protein Brownie Batter Waffles

Whether you are just beginning your health journey and learning how to track your macros...or you are a seasoned pro at macro tracking and your nutrition game is pretty on point, we are all looking for ways to keep that protein intake high and overall calories low. Let’s face it, protein shakes get boring and mundane. So on that note, here’s a fun, yummy recipe to get your protein in while enjoying what feels like a decadent desert!


Ingredients:

•4 scoops chocolate protein powder

•4 tbsp cocoa powder

•4 tbsp coconut flour

•1/3 cup dark chocolate chips

•1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce •1/3 cup unsweetened almond milk


Directions:


Mix all of the above ingredients in a large bowl until a thick batter forms. Heat up waffle maker and spray with non stick oil spray. Make your brownie waffles until all batter is used up. I like these a little crispy! This recipes yields 9-10 waffles in mini waffle maker and roughly 3 batches in larger waffle maker. Break your large waffles up into smaller pieces as shown.

8g Protein per waffle
